Robert Bosch GmbH agreed to pay a $36.18 million penalty to the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security for exporting approximately $72.4 million worth of MEMS sensors and automotive software to Huawei between September 2020 and September 2024 without the required export license. Bosch received credit for filing a Voluntary Self-Disclosure and cooperating with the investigation, with $3.6 million of the penalty suspended. The case was investigated by BIS's Office of Export Enforcement.
